Integration

Most of us have integrated with the Spanish, to a certain extent, or at least tried. But there are some that either won't or can't.

A chap was moaning to me about an “inconsiderate Spanish farmer”, who woke him up one morning by going up and down in the field behind his house, and it was only 08:00, after all!!!

And another couple, that were new to country living, they were “animal lovers” and had a number of dogs, but they didn't walk them because “with all this space, you can just let them go”. Trouble is, they went to a nearby farm and killed some chickens. The farmer told the couple about the incident and their reply was (in English, of course) that he “should keep his f***ing chickens fenced in.

But my favourite (or not), was on another forum that was discussing this same subject, one chap wrote, “why should we do all the work, the Spanish ought to meet us halfway”.

Oh dear, embarrassing isn't it??

Yes Puff, very embarrassing at times.

Saying that I was in a computer shop this morning asking for something and was getting by and understood that I would have to go to their technical shop which was now open in another part of town. When I asked her where it was I thought it was quite rude that she started having a discussion with the Spanish customer next to me. Until the lady customer turned to me and gave me directions in excellent English !!!!! Found it no problems.

Some of those comments would be equally at home here in England.

How many 'townies' have moved to the countryside, only to complain about the noise of farmers, cockerels etc???

And Farmers here have the right to shoot any dog loose and worrying his animals, chickens included.

So what is different?

These idiots seem to think they can move to a foreign country and have everything there own way.
